Adieu to the Secretary of Justice and Peace, CBCNEI

4th May : A formal farewell program was held at the CBCNEI headquarter office for Mr Atungo Shitri, the outgoing Secretary for Justice & Peace Department of the Council. The outgoing Secretary, Mr Atungo Shitri rendered seven years of his service to the Council as the first Justice and Peace Secretary with his great potentials and significant contributions. He had established a benchmark leadership quality for everyone to follow. The program was chaired by Mr Mhabemo Kithan and it began with an invocation prayer offered by Mr Pawan Bhuyan. Mr Vikato Shikhu, Mr Rabin Basumatary, Mr Hriini Zho, Mr Shoudhit R Marak, Mrs Istrella Sangma, Mr Talimao, Mr Malthyus Sangma and Rev T.P Mordecai delivered farewell speeches on behalf of the office staff and the Conference Centre staff. Rev Dr Solomon Rongpi while alluding the contributions of the outgoing Secretary said that the Council had full confidence in him as he had served with a sense of dedication and hard work all through the years of his service. On the occasion, Mr Atungo extended his thankfulness to the Secretaries and Staff of the Council for the support and the uplifting spirit he had received all through his ministry. The family of CBCNEI expresses its deepest gratitude to Mr Atungo Shitri and his family for his tireless and invaluable contributions made towards the welfare of the Council . We assure our prayers and wish him success for his future endeavor.
