The 67th Annual General Meeting of CBCNEI (28 _ 30 April 2017)

67 agmEastern Theological College (ETC) Jorhat Assam, the premium institute of the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI) hosted the 67th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of CBCNEI under the theme, “Together towards Abundant Life”. The Executive members of CBCNEI arrived on 26th April followed by Executive committee meeting on 27th and 28th April. Around 170 delegates registered for the AGM. Rev C. Lima Sangtam, Vice-President CBCNEI led the inaugural service on 28th April evening service.

Rev Dr Akheto, Principal ETC and Rev Dr Solomon Rongpi, General Secretary CBCNEI welcomed the delegates on behalf of ETC and CBCNEI respectively. President of CBCNEI Mr Knudsenberg Ch. Momin gave the presidential address. Bible studies were brought by Dr Tali Ao, Clark Theological College Aolijen, Nagaland. ETC and oriental Theological Seminary (OTS) choirs presented songs during the conference. The proceedings of the AGM were recorded by Mrs Esther Shohe and Mr Monison Teron. Staff and students of ETC worked day and night giving their best services to the participants. Their humble service were much appreciated by the delegates. Mr Atungo Shitiri, the outgoing Justice and Peace Secretary of the Council was given farewell on the 30th morning devotional service by the President of the Council. The family of CBCNEI expresses its deepest gratitude to Mr Atungo and his family for his tireless and precious contributions for the welfare of the Council. Rev Dr Benjamin Sun Lai Chan, Area Director International Ministries did the act of installation and dedication of the newly elected office bearers of CBCNEI. Mr Malthyus Sangma was installed as the new Justice and Peace Secretary and Mr Rajiv Zillie as the new Property Secretary.

The AGM ended on a humble note where all the delegates appreciated and were blessed.
